I know its long but it’s exactly what your looking for, trust me.

Hey everyone my name is Deven (20). I have been into weightlifting for six years now (see attached pic) and have been on the protein shakes and creatine monohydrate for about a year. The creatine gave me a lot of extra strength and made me retain water for size but it wasn’t quite what I was looking for.

I am in my 4th year of college and I am definitely a cheap S.O.B. I usually find ways to try products before I buy them and I was fortunate enough to have a friend tell me about and offer a small portion of his NO2 manufactured by M.R.I Medical Research Institute. Let me say that if you have not tried the MRI product you have not tried the real and only formula to NO2 – Nitric Oxide. I know that I sound like a sells man but trust me…IM NOT!

I have tried only 3 days of supplementation and noticed their proclaimed “perpetual pump” to a small degree of the 21 day full results claim. I have never seen results like this from even the best of creatine. After only 3 days of trial my cheap *** was convinced to spend $125 for a 300 with a free 180 on their website.

I am going to begin my full training with it in January. All I have say is that MRI offers a small book with information about it. You can buy it at GNC for 1.00 and it’s worth every penny. The first half might seem like a lot of sales man talk but read the whole thing and give it a try. From the opinion of a serious bodybuilder “do yourself a favor and read the whole thing”

First things first, nutrient is # 1. I have talked to many professional body builders and we all agree on one thing: bodybuilding is 70% nutrition and 30% of actually weight training (figures are arbitrary, but help give a good understanding) but I think this is what everyone is looking for.

Again…I am not a sells man, just someone who is very good and knowledgeable about this and would like to share what I know.

If your interested the website is: www.getno2.com but it doesn’t offer nearly the info as the dollar book.

    Deven, University of Utah.

NO2 uses vasodialation... it's like hyper cellvolumizing. You are not gaining muscle my friend, you are increasing the volume of the muscle fiber because it is trying to increase it's oxygen uptake. Not only that, it only seems to work for a small amount of people, and the others seem to have SEVERE issues with it's use... (i.e. headaches, cramping, other oxygen-deprivation symptoms)

Go off it for a month and your only gains will be the ones you worked for, the rest will just deflate.

NO2 is the latest, greatest genius - and that genius is called Marketing

Nitric Oxide regulates muscle contraction, signals the log-term adaptive response to exercise, controls nutrient delivery and uptake by creating Hemodilation or the widening of the blood channels.

Just like creatine, a person does not create new muscle just by taking this supplement. I don’t think there are any supplements out there that will make you gain muscle just by taking it. Like I said before, a person gains the most from their workout by proper nutrition.

So the key point of NO2 like you said is to create vasodilatation, which is the widening of the blood vessels, especially the arteries, leading to increased blood flow. That increased blood flow allows for better nutrient uptake before and after a workout. This feeding of the muscles is the most crucial role in bodybuilding towards creating new muscle from intense workouts.

All the side affects you listed are most likely caused by dehydration. Athletes who take creatine experience the same symptoms due to dehydration as well. Most inexperienced weightlifters don’t understand just how important proper hydration is. If people educate themselves before taking any supplement, which they should always do. They would find that it clearly states before taking NO2 to increase water uptake/consumption.

The only latest greatest genius is an educated consumer.

Since when does "educated consumer" mean "ability to read advertising manuals"?

I went to the getno2 website, and saw some outrageous claims, such as them claiming their test subjects were "seasoned weightlifters", yet in a month or so after using no2, they were able to bench 300% more? Do you mean if my good friend Shawn Lattimer starts taking No2, he will then be able to bench 2700lbs? Does it carry over to the squat? Could Mike Ruggeria squat 3315lbs with this "breakthrough supplement"?

Nice for you to assume that my training partners are dehydrated and inexperienced, without knowing zero about them or their training, amount of hydration pre, during, and post training... not even knowing about their sport, you just immediately assume that the symptoms that they are experiencing "have" to be dehydration - because by-golly-gosh-gummit, it didn't happen to you!

Heck, it's even nicer to have you accuse myself and my training partners (two of which represent the United States as professional IFSA strongmen), my coach (30-years of weightlifting, armwrestling, and strongman experience), and myself (13 years of sports-specific training, weight training, highland games, and strongman) of being "inexperienced weightlifters".

Thing is, I had headaches and muscle spasms every time I took a specific vasodialation product... regardless of my 2 gallon-plus water intake during outdoor Florida training. I was, however, able to megadose L-Arginine without any ill effects (L-Arginine being the only part of an No2 supplement product that actually has postive effects).

I am glad you had success with this product. If you have to put a tic-tac in your tar-star to train harder, by all means, get minty. I am just telling you that the results are NOTHING like they claim, nor does the product work very well for everyone...

Mister Joshua, it seems that you have taken offense to something directed as non-offensive.

I’m not sure what they are claiming about 300% increases. But I’m sure the statistical formula is not claiming that people will be benching in the neighborhood of 2700lbs. You would have to contact M.R.I for that information.

By you stating that, “Not only that, it only seems to work for a small amount of people, and the others seem to have SEVERE issues with it's use... (i.e. headaches, cramping, other oxygen-deprivation symptoms)” you gave me no inclination as to the fact that you or your training partners were the ones whom lacked the proper experience and or hydration. So you’re right, I don’t know ZERO about you or your friends’ physical training habits.

So by you saying, “I am just telling you that the results are NOTHING like they claim.” For you to have any validity with that statement, I’m sure your not basing that off of assumption. So it seems that you are a fan of getting minty by putting tic-tacs in your tar-star to train harder, huh?

Your right, not everyone will get the expected results and you were one of them. This product isn’t 100% beneficial to everyone. It’s not likely that everybody trains the same nor has the same nutritional and lifestyle habits. And I am sorry to hear that you experienced headaches and muscle spasms. Yes, it has worked incredibly well for me, though it’s obvious that our phasics are nothing of the same.

Tell you what Deven, I have competitive professional BB'ers as friends as well, although this is about the only time I'll fess up to it. I asked one of my friends, a drug-free pro bodybuilder and contributor to Bodybuilding.com (not to mention a man pursueing his masters degree in a nutrition and training-related field), by the name of Layne Norton... and lo and behold, he wrote a positive article about No2 supplementation...

    although...

he wrote that L-Arginine is the only worthwhile portion of the N02 supplement, and advocates direct consumption of just this amino acid prior to training... with additional supplementation to assist in holding back "Reactive Oxygen Synthesis", or ROS - and that's all you need!

Here is the actual article he wrote on NO2-type supplementation...

Seriously, there are no shortcuts to getting into shape and gaining muscle. Hard training tempered with sensible eating and getting enough rest is the only way.

    This.

Oddly enough, something so simple is difficult for most people, including me to do. I tend to slack off in at least two of the three areas.

The creation of L-Arginine and it's vasodilation properties is also the way that Viagra and other ED meds do what they do.

I think we need a new contest around here: who can resurrect the worst <2006 thread. The winner should be granted Master Haikuist rating or something else similarly as awe-inspiring.

Check this out. It's what I have going on tomorrow at 10am:
