so this is my EDC rig that I have decided on in a MTR OWB Leather snap on holster

Think this set up will serve me well to survive my local Wal Mart ?
Anybody with a similar set up ?

My Walther PPS is by far my favorite single stack poly frame pistol. I can shoot it as well if not better than most of my compact and full size pistols.

I CCW IWB in Ozark single clip kydex holster. I use Federal HST 147 +P for SD ammo and it is sweet shooting in my PPS.

HST 147 is what I use in it.

I'm familiar with the barrel peening issue. No sign of it on mine yet but I don't have a lot of rounds yet.

    Walther PPS M2.
Fedreal HST 147 standard pressure is
my go to ammo in 9mm guns.
Although I'll run Winchester Ranger T-Series as well.

    Everybody is different.
Actually prefer my Ruger LC9S Pro.
Smaller, lighter, better trigger and I shoot it better.
    But that's just me...

I found it to be a sweet gun. It was reliable and accurate and never experienced any FTF, FTE, or BTF issues. I experienced the peening issue but it wasn't the reason I no longer have it. I wanted only to keep one single stack gun so I kept the Shield 45 and sold the Shield 9 and PPS M2. The PPS M1/M2 will serve anyone very well.

Yes I have read about it. Not sure how many experience it and to what degree. Walther claims it is normal and have not read about any failures due to it. I would just keep an eye on it and not worry unless it looks excessive or a function problem if you see any peening at all. The PPS is a heck of a buy with the $100 rebate.

What's attractive about the PPS is the grip angle and ergonomics. Looks like a great little pistol.

I bought the LE NS version I wonder if the night sights are any good?

Was about $30 more than the regular PPS M2 and come with an extra mag so I figured it is well worth extra dough ?

I rented a PPS years ago and like it. I load my Kahr MK9 and Beretta Nano bith with HST 147 based on tests I have seen online.

When I carried my PPS M2, I exclusively carried either HST 147gr or Winchester Ranger 147gr. Both RAN fantastically from my PPS.

I may be wrong but I think they are just luminescent like the HK VP9. Not true night sites. However, with the extra mag it is totally worth the 30 bucks. Lets us know what you think when u get it.
