Can anyone shed any light on this Walther pistol I inherited? I got it from my dad after he passed and he had gotten it from my grandad. The pistol is in very good shape overall with holster wear mostly at the muzzle end. I’m curious as to what the value may be on it and how old it is. It is marked with a K after the serial number. It has 2 magazines both marked Walther. Thank you. 7CBD3D36-9822-4C63-846F-9723E820D2E0.jpeg 9357FB5C-567A-4275-8AC9-618425AF627F.jpeg E271188E-351E-4EDE-AFBC-D9D21E27E98B.jpeg 54BF3E3E-2EB0-4CCB-8F28-D0EDEDB7486F.jpeg 38A24B3A-46A4-4CE9-867C-CFA3E84B2616.jpeg

Nice collectible. I'd probably clean that up and put it on display in a nice case.

The guys in General Glocking would tell you you need to get it refinished in Cerakote, put on some rubber grips to absorb the snappy recoil and get a kydex holster with at least 1 punisher skull on it.

Very nice. I'd seek out professional appraisal.

Since I see Nazi proofmarks on this pistol I believe that your very best bet is to start at the link below:

According to Know Your Walther PP & PPK Pistols by E J Hoffschmidt, the Eagle and letter C mark just below the magazine release are the police acceptance marks.

And it does look the same as the one linked to in Narkcop128's post.

I find that storage in leather can cause rust (if moisture around) so be careful about that.

I don’t believe there are any Nazi markings.

Then what's the proofmark in the OP's last image, German police?

The eagle C stamp on the left side of the frame indicates a police gun during the Nazi era not a commercial gun. Crown N proofs indicate it was made pre-1940. Very valuable and collectable.

Thank you for the input, pretty interesting. Neither magazine has the finger extension but both are in good shape. The grips are fine too, I cant find any cracks on them whatsoever.

I stand corrected. According to Flying Dutchman, it is during the Nazi regime.
