what are your thoughts on the walther p22? reliability, type of ammo, etc...thanks!
I had a P22...excellent accuracy, good weight, and nice accessories. The adjustable backstrap was a great invention so it suits any user from a beefy handed person to a child.
That being said...
Reliability is only achieved with CCI ammo. I fed it with S&B's, with Winchesters, Armscor...and it had FTF's and ejection problems left and right. Only Stingers and the other kind of CCI (Can't remember the name) cycled reliably.
Then again, my dad has fired over 5000 rounds through his P22 using local ammo. He had a very long break-in period though (around 2000 rds).
