Local Walmart has a savage axis 270 with scope and Woodstock priced at $184. They have the same rifle In 243. Not sure what scope is on it. Possibly Bushnell or Weaver? Couldn’t tell from looking at it in the case.

Don’t necessarily need it or another caliber but if it’s too good of a deal to pass up I don’t want miss out.

    Should I Grab one?

Hmmm. I may need to run to Walmart. I don't need one either, but I'd pay that for a .223, .270, .308 or .30-06.

223‘s and 308’s went first according to the Walmart counter guy. I may have to go back and pick up that 270

The scope is weaver and mine broke on the first shot other than that a decent rifle. For that price however you'd be crazy not to get it

Wisdom should come into play with this one.

The scope is garbage. But the rifle will shoot.

By the way, I bought one of these Weaver scopes like new at my local gun shop that had been taken off of one of these package guns.

price was $15.99, so I thought what have I got to lose?

The scope has been flawless on my .308, so you might get lucky on the scope as well.

Yesterday, I bought an H&R Pardner 12g, from WM. At $148.88, I couldn’t pass it up.

Cant beat that, they have clearance stuff once in a while just gotta watch. Couple years ago I went in and they had one of those Weatherby Vanguard sporters in 270. It had the nice wood stock. I walked out the door with it for 350$ iirc. Showed it to my FFL buddy and he had to have it.

As much as I like getting more firearms I have to ask, do you have all of your other needs covered? How is that rainy day fund? The price is great but will it replace your current deer rifle?

I bought an Axis 22-250 at the local Wally World when it was $198, no scope. A little trigger work & it does fine. My neighbor is looking for a cheaper bolt gun. At <$200, I may even buy one.

I stopped by two Walmarts this morning. Their long gun stock is about what it was a year or so ago. No deals to be found. Rifle and shotgun ammo is plentiful, except for .223/5.56, of course.

If you don't already have a 270 you should get it. Everyone should have at least one 270.

My Walmart had the wood stock 30-06 and 270 left; and also a camo stock heavy barrel 223!! “Had”.

awesome deal. Woman said they’re not carrying the axis any longer so they had to get them gone.
