Had two pierced primers in the 357mag, none in the 40s&w it worked great.
I may have a rough FP tip on one of the 357s, have not checked it out yet.

I love the stuff but $13-14 for a box (50rds)??? Last time I bought some at WM was a few months ago, but it was $9.97 IIRC. Has there been a price jump recently?

Hello all,

The Walmart near me has Perfecta .45 230gr fmj. Anyone have experience with these?

Thanks,
Andy
Andy, I've shot plenty of it in .45acp and never had a problem. I haven't seen it though lately (the last couple of months) at Wal-Mart's per Central Florida in 9mm. or .45acp though, sadly. I've run it through an RIA, SAM, Ruger P-97 and XD-45 Service. I just wish I could find it again locally.

It is $9.97 a box in my neck of the woods and make it a point to buy at least two boxes when I see them in stock. At Wally of course. Another brand that does not get enough recognition, is Monarch. I buy it at Academy sports and is very accurate and some what clean for the price.

Ok, didn't know if the cut corners to make the brass so cheap
What? Do you think that manufacturers have two sets of machinery at their factories, one for their regular production and one for export ammo thats going to be sold as inexpensive "economy" branded ammo?

(No they don't)

I wont be shooting anymore in my Model 64 .38spl

Functioned fine, but terrible accuracy, and not regulated to the fixed sights on that particular revolver. It shot very high, even at close range, about 10 yards.

I was really hoping it would work well as it was about $3 a box cheaper than anything else they had.

I will still shoot it in my 9mm and 45 guns.

At 25 yards aiming at the "Q" put my rounds in the upper neck. Surprising as the Perfecta load is a 158g load which generally regulates very well with Smith's fixed sights.

My experience as well. I buy it in 7.62x54R, one of the last sources for spam can sealed ammo. It is twice the price I paid for the old cans, and has 360 to a can instead of 480, but shoots very, very well and is non corrosive.

The Monarch goes to the back of the closet, and am shooting up the old corrosive stuff right now. It will take about another year and a half to shoot what I have left. I became very enamored of it when it was 80 bucks for 480 rounds.

Purchased 200 rounds of Perfecta 40 S&W from Walmart at $13.97 a box. Fired 50 at the range along with Federal ammo with no issues in my Glock 22. Had no problems with accuracy. Will buy more over the weekend.
