No choice as he is charged with battery. Legal CYA

    The greeter was not charged...

Take a look at the video though. To my untrained eye he started the physical part of the incident...

Yeah, greeter was not charged, but it was still legal CYA. Greeter gets attacked and injured on the job by a customer, Wal-Mart could held responsible for his safety. Unless, the injury was due to his own misconduct (i.e. fighting with a customer).

Bottom line is that if you're involved in anything out of the ordinary at a store like that then the first and just about automatic course of action will be for them to blame it on you and dismiss you. Labor is cheap and it just makes good business sense.

No way. Those greeters are highly trained professionals. Where are they going to find another one now?

Better he finds out Walmart doesn't care about their employees now than later on down the road.

Most people understand that NO company cares about you. That's not why they exist.

I'm willing to bet he committed a major WM policy no-no when he touched the customer. Grabbing a customer opens WM up to all kinds of liability.

    Walmart is evil.

I lived in Arkansas and knew a couple of former Walmart corporate executives. Walmart has only one goal, To own the paycheck of every American. The long term vision was to become a bank so you could have your pay check, welfare check, or pension check deposited directly to walmart. Then you could just go in and pay right out of your account. When "members" get better prices more will join and this will drive even more small stores out of business. The final step is to offer mortgages, real estate services and full service insurance.

I have no proof of this but it was hard not to believe two men who walked away from 6 figure jobs at Walmart to make half of that at Coca Cola and a large bank after learning details of the "Big Plan".
