Let us know if you found any bargains.

Honestly the only reason I even stopped is because there was an employee behind the counter- If he would not have been standing there I would have walked right past.

Normally I wouldn't shop at a store where the patrons don't know the difference between an enter and exit sign, but $7.50 a box for 9mm brass cased ammo is hard to beat.

I also buy 5 quart jugs of Mobile1 full synthetic oil from WM when Mobile is running a rebate. So I must be evil.

Nothing spectacular, but I got Federal 9mm (brass cased) for 18 cents per round and Federal 22LR for 3.8 cents per round after KY sales tax. That’s cheaper than I can find it online at any quantity. Thanks again. I almost bought a Marlin XT .22LR rifle for $139. I have too many 22 rifles already. 7A7F9611-1A9F-451D-8077-B896D444E258.jpeg

I have not stepped foot in their store since the announcement. I am surviving. I have found that other stores don't make me near as anxious as Walmart always did.

I'd buy a lot more of their cheap ammo if only there was someone manning the sporting goods desk.

Our Walmart puts me on medium alert, after 1pm.
There are some Sketchy folks then. And not the regular People of Walmart folks. I mean dangerous / felon / tweaker sketchy.
We try to go in the morning.

I just bought a few boxes because I hadn’t tried them yet. Accuracy testing is the most fun part of owning a rifle to me.

The crowd, the segment of society, the layout of the stores, the few registers open. I don't know when I leave I'm anxious and exhausted.

I have been doing my shopping at Rural King whenever possible since the announcement. I will continue to buy my ammo there as well.

Same here. Since I gave WM the heave-ho and started shopping at Martin's, it is SO much less stressful. No parking lot maze, no crowded aisles or checkout lines, and the shoppers there seem like saner human beings. So far I have not witnessed even one loud domestic argument. And I worry less that a Tide Pod-eating trend-following teen has licked my ice cream.

The next closest is 19 miles and not any better.
The nearest "nice" Walmart is 29 miles away.
We just shop more at Fred Meyer.

With many of the online store collecting sales tax up front, that $49 range ammo seems quite competitive. Walmart in-store Wi-Fi blocks GT and AmmoSeek.com, of course, so I had to go outside to get a cell signal:
    Winchester USA556L2 5.56x45 55gr 200 rnd boxes are $49, plus 6% tax, or $259.70 for 1,000.
Lowest 1k case price on ammoseek for USA556LK was $309.85 plus tax and shipping, or $346.44.
There was a place selling the same USA556L2 boxes and somehow not charging tax, but it still ended up at $313.76.

No such deals in my local Walmart. I just drove 15 minutes to check the ammo counter. :(
Maybe they won't stop selling ammo?
