I'm probably log jammed for the firt two weeks of turkey hunting season starting April 15th in Washington state. Helping friends move and co-workers needing backup at work. But since the season is a month long, I'm hoping the birds won't be too spooked in May when it's a little warmer and more enjoyable to hunt than in the colder rainy start of the season. Planning to go up to Pierre Lake area about an hour north of Colville. Planning on camping around the Pierre Lake camping site. No running water or utilities but maybe my car and a pu ten and a couple days. Maybe a day or two to locate some flocks and their roosting trees and strutting grounds. And another day or so for the setup and hunt. Last year's tips stated flocks were in the hundreds there. Anybody else heading up that way? Be fun to have a partner for calling/shooting. Email me if interested.
