VW Passat 78.5 MPG in the Uk

    Yeah, but that's in Britain. They're on the metric system, so that's probably in decibels per centiliter, which is like, hardly ANYTHING.

    Plus, no matter where they go in Britain, they're still IN BRITAIN, AND they're on the wrong side of the road!

    And we all know how much THAT sucks. Just like gun control and warm beer.

    I wanna see these stories in American, gas fueled, turbo injected blown hemi miles!

    He must have rented the one liter model. That's not going to work here.

    Yeah, the imperial gallon is larger so that works out to about 65 mpg US.

    On a side note, there will be a Chevy Cruze diesel in 2013.

    I'm getting 50mpg in my 2000 VW NewBeetle 5 speed turbo diesel.
    Here it is, parked next to a mint '67:
