I am sorry to say that I will not be votiing to reelect Joaquin to the NRA board of directors and I urge you to do the same. Several years ago he gave an on camera interview where he questioned the right of the public to own semi automatic rifles and high capacity magazines. he has since tried to retract his statements and admitted his error. unfortunately, the damage has been done and his interview has been used to prop up anti-second amendment propaganda. I have met Mr. Jackson and he is a fine man. I thank him for his service as a Texas Ranger. But we need to send a message to him and all of our board members that the second amendment is a natural, God-given right and not something that the membership, and especially the board of directors, should ever compromise. luckily we have many other good people to choose from. the ballot is in this month's NRA magazine. Whatever your position on this issue, PLEASE VOTE!
