    From source:
This bad guy tried to evade the Swedish police in his Audi, but their Volvo wagon absolutely crushed him with what the folks at The Car Lounge are calling the "Moose Roll." A time-lapse gallery of the epic take-down below.

Moose Roll! Perfect name for this maneuver! (remembering the video of the cow moose in Alaska that sadly trampled the guy who tried to sneak by her into a building)

Hey, our state patrol had some unmarked volvo wagons for a while. Good car to hide in, since no one knows you're a cop.

In the late 1990's [1997 to be precise], Volvo gace the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office here in Arizona, a Volvo station wagon equipped with a turbo'ed test motor that was being considered for police service use. It was on the road for about 18 months and was taken back by Volvo at the end of the test.

According to the district 3 deputies that drove it constantly, it was a pretty good car and engine, but Ford [who owned Volvo then] decided not to place it into U.S. police service.

Volvo had their desert test track in their jurisdiction and according to deputies, MCSO got the vehicle to wring out after a few of their more enthusiatic test drivers got pinched for driving >> the speed limit. Volvo got their test data by downloads of the onboard computers.

Wasn't it Vail, Colorado PD that had SAAB 900 Turbos for patrol cars back in the late 1980's and early 1990's???

    Yes, it was.........

The 1995 Volvo 850 was a pretty nice car with the 236hp I5 turbo engine and the sound system kicked some butt! Then they had the T5 turbo station wagon in yellow. Them's some good times. No, I didn't own one, my then girlfriend's dad had a black one with a spoiler and I always snuck it out to drag race unsuspecting Mustangs and whatnot.

Or, you know, a Crown Vic. I'd take a Volvo of my choice over a Crown Vic any day for a patrol car.

WOW!!! I had no idea an exhaust pipe on a Volvo was so long and stiff until I saw it "in action"...:whistling: Volvo's are suddenly a whole lot more manlier than before...

I have a 96 850 turbo, and it's been a great car over the 120K mi I've put on since 96. Throw a yakima rack and basket on top and she becomes a truck with all the crap I can load up. The T5 was really nice!
