"Virginia legislators have clearly lost their minds on this latest bill that was drafted and filed this month, which will be open to discussion come January 2020.

This of course is in reference to Senate Bill Number 64, or SB64 as it may appear on various print or spoken discussion.

Virginia is attempted to chip away at the rights of citizens, one small hammer stroke at a time; and this bill is going to attempt to outlaw firearm training. We’ll display the language used in the bill and get into dissecting how it may be perceived generally, or even presented, versus how it can also be enacted."

The Northern VA Dems are a breed unlike any we've ever seen. I'm truly ashamed of my home state.

We will see what actually passes.

The Democrats are getting overconfident. They only have a razor thin 21-19 in the VA Senate, and they are proposing all these ludicrous laws.

The Democrats think that Virginia has become Maryland, but it hasn't, at least not yet.

Hopefully there will be a backlash, and we will be able to stop them from passing.

It's a shame the lazy Republicans in the Virginia legislature couldn't be bothered to pass a filibuster rule. That would give us the ability to block Democrat bills from passing.

As a Yankee that thinks Robert E. Lee was one of the top 10 Americans every to bless our nation, this is very, very sad. I hope you true Virginians can win the fight on this one for sure.

Contrary to the hysteria, it wouldn't apply to ordinary firearms or martial arts training. You'd have to have some reason to know the person is training for "civil disorder." Of course, it looks like it could get tricky if people are talking about the purpose of the 2nd Amendment and that kind of thing.

I agree. While it is disconcerting to read, if Dems want to maintain any momentum going into an election year, moderate VA Dems will likely be voting against these outlandish proposals.

Look for them to propose banning the use of lethal force in self defense. Maybe in VA, maybe in WA or CA. It's coming.

This is the GD insane Democrat Party. They are anti-God, anti-Christian, anti-military, anti-cop, anti-constitution, anti-business, anti-border security, murder’s of *newborn* babies. They steal the law abiding, working man’s money through taxes, and give it to *illegal* immigrants and the slackers and leeches of society. Any gun owner who votes for the Democrat Party is one ignorant and hate blinded POS fool, and is in need of a good old fashion blanket party.

The problem for the Dems is that Northam wrongly stated that Virginians had spoken and were for increased gun control. The fact that over 20 counties have already decided to become 2nd amendment sanctuaries is pretty strong evidence that he was very wrong. He has the liberal Never Trumpers to thank and Virginia has demonstrated in the past that they can be one issue voters - if that issue is protecting their guns. Northam wants Virginia to remain blue. He would have to settle down a lot on his gun grabbing bills. Not many outside of NOVA are going to adhere to them anyway.

I guess it's easier to suppress and oppress untrained citizens, versus trained citizens... :whistling:

The leftists are certainly over-playing their hand about Draconian government control, versus "safety" measures...
