Had to get up to take a call early this morning, got to watch the sun rise over Central Park

and on the way in yesterday, came into LGA. I always sit on the left side of the plane on that flight so I can see the Statue and Manhattan (pic is crappy, but it's surprisingly visible from the window). Statue of Liberty is on the left, new building at site of WTC visible on the right.

The body of water just at the bottom under the bridge is the Gowanus Canal. When we were kids we used to ride our bikes there to see who got whacked that weekend and floated by. At low tide, you could see crap dumped there from the late 1800's. HH

If you could go just a little more to the right, you could follow Eastern Parkway to Kingston and eat some Mendy's Deli.

Hmmmmmmmm

Oh yeah? Well, that speck of white next to that other speck of white next to that green blur is Ronny's Liquor. I used to look at the discarded porn mags in the trash out in the back of his store, when I wasn't involved in other civil disobedience.

Your move, gents. :miff:

Sadly, I've never made it out to Brooklyn--I either go into Manhattan or up north to and/or past Westchester. I've driven from LGA down the BQE to the midtown tunnel many, many times but never gone further south.

Why not, it's a fun time!
Nothing fun about it.

My mom was there yesterday with my two kids. They were in central park, and someone stole their bag of sippy cups right off the stroller that was only a few feet away from them.

I hate nyc and want nothing to do with it.

I grew up on the Island and use to like going to Coney Island to ride the Cyclone and check out the Freak show. Brings back memories but glad I'm left that commie state!
