Is it possible to have joined the Army in April 1977 and have served in Vietnam and see combat?

I thought we left in April 1975 after the fall of Saigon.

Last out were Marines at Siagon U S Ambassy when we left in 1975.

So.... did you (original poster) ever find out if the guy was / is legitimate?

I know a couple guys (well, haven't seen them in years) who talked a lot about their "service", but there seemed to be a LOT of holes in their stories. Friends and I believe they did serve, but not to the extent of their stories.

The guys who I know for a fact served do not talk a lot about their service.

Not calling you a poser, I was at a friends funeral and his son was telling me how he had served in the NAM. I knew he was a Bull **** artist but held my toungue.
