*Video* Superb Quality Dashcam Of 120mph Chase And Tragic T/A

I can only take so much of the stupid comments posted with that video.

These idiots who think we should have rammed the bad guy's car or just called the chase off drive me nuts.

I just had a pursuit last week that I wrecked a patrol car. Nothing major.

But people tend to Monday Morning Quarterback these types of videos and it's not fair to the officer involved or any police officer for that matter.

I'm sure the officer involved runs that day through his head over and over to see if he could have done something different that could have save the lives that were lost.

Good question.

Perhaps he anticipated it to be over and done with fairly quickly, so he did not activate them when he turned on the violator. Then as it turned into a prolonged incident, got caught up in the moment and forgot?

Maybe that feature was not working on the dash cam, maybe the solenoid came loose? I have had to pull over and tighten down that bolt before.:supergrin:

Who says he wasn't? There's no audio.

I see the indicator now.................

Who knows, last night my car kept telling me to buckle my seat belt......... It was on.

Then the low fuel light came on, AFTER I put 14 gallons of gas in.

Maybe he simply forgot, or the indicator isn't working.

We have officers that turn off their siren to talk on the radio, who knows.

Thats a helluva crash.
