In other news, the Metro Atlanta Police Department is purchased for a record low amount of money.

I love it...same guy that would have (theoretically) put me on the hood of my car for leaving a nice restaurant after having a beer with dinner.

yeah, you can bet that cops career is ruined.

There's no career ending mistake like.... pulling over the chief for DUI... :tongueout:

The only hope is the Chief doesn't keep his job long enough to extract revenge on the officer that pulled him over.....

But seriously, good move, although its got to be an extremely tough call, unless the chief is hated among the ranks, and they've been dreaming of drilling the Chief for something along these lines, of course...

It's a double edged sword. Let him go and word spreads you still screwed.

He's an A'hole, he also falsified his firearms requals and is awaiting his appeal on his REVOKED POST mandate status..
He's been on borrowed time for quite a while...

I do not think the arresting officers will have any detrimental career fallout on this ..Thats the word on the street.

I would be very careful and document everything from now on if I was the arresting officer.

    ^^^ This.

Well that all depends on how you look at it....LOL. Remember everybody only had two. I have just come to realize that two means they only count the first and last. The rest are just a blur...

Agreed. I have nothing against cutting a brother in blue a little slack on a minor thing, but this was handled correctly.

When I first read the headline, I thought it was ATLANTA's chief. How big is this town?

From what i read the Officer that stopped him, was smart enough to call Clayton county deputies to pinch the Chief, papers also stated the chief took off from the city cop anddrove to the PD and parked his radio car.....s//t for brains chief
