Either one would be a great card.

    I run a 9800Pro.

the 6800 would be a fine choice also.

Maybe look at some reviews and decide from there.

I'm an Nvidia guy. I kinda liken it to Ford / Chevy, Glock/ Beretta. Never the twain shall meet. HOWEVER, the reason that I like Nvidia from a tech point of view, is the drivers. Nvidia Unified driver pack. Makes installing EASY. I also have a friend that is a serious gamer and has had both cards, and has better performace and less probs with the Nvidia

(I am on my 6th nvidia card in a row, from a 8 meg, up to a Gforce 5900 128 meg currently)

I was always a Nvidia guy too...along with Chevy's. But, I must say the X800 Pro I got doesn't disappoint. I had the same opinion on the drivers as well. However I have updated the Catalyst drivers 3 times (including trying out betas) with no problems. They seem to be as stable as the Nvidia's so far.

As far as which card to choose CheesyD....I would suggest checking Ebay on some X800 Pro's, they really are close to that price range..;f
