Cool video - cool car... Thanks for posting.

I used to have a Veyon video backed by an ABBA tune. It was a really high class production effort. I sent it to Bill Powell a couple of years ago. But now I can't find it - I looked on the web with no luck.

Wish I could find it. :crying:

Hey Rick - don't look now but your (battle) ship is sinking... Hope they can get it fixed. I toured that ship many, many years ago. Pretty cool stuff for a 10yo boy. :wavey:

I hope they can fix her, they did a HUGE amount of restoration in the Engine room, and she was looking mighty fine. One of her Triple expansion engines was fully restored (on the outside) and they had started the second one.
I know that 2 years ago a diver put her hand Through the hull, testing a corrosion spot, the waterline armor belt is 8" thick, but gets thinner towards the keel.

Appreciate your putting that up. It's a great Sunday morning bit of eye candy.

I've never really liked the looks at all, but gotta respect the car. It's rare and awesome moment in technology when a product is built that just crushes the competition and moves the bar to an entirely new level.

Cool car. What need is it designed to solve?

The lack of 250+ mph cars that run on pump gas.

Our 9 year old is a Top Gear junkie and this is his favorite car. I want to show him this, but he's either seen it already, or he will proceed to talk about it until my ears bleed. What to do...

Fair enough. I'll wait and get a one-year old used one for 1.3M, though...

That's the old "So why should we go to the moon, when there are so many pressing social needs!" arguement.

Just get back in the herd whille better men make the future for you and your children :tongueout:

Not at all, "ranger". If private citizens want to design three hundred million dollar fur sinks and sell them to willing buyers it's no skin off my nose at all. I'm just curious about the thought process -

"Heya, Luigi, whatta ya think we oughta design next?"

"Oh, I wasa just sittin' inna traffic this mornin' thinkin' howa much we needa new street car that'll go 250 miles a hour."
