I will try to get up there on Sunday....
I'll be there on Saturday afternoon shooting. I have a question for anyone from the area. I'm planning to drive from the airport in Albany, NY, heading north on I-87 until I come to the toll ferry at Burlington. How long do you have to wait to catch the ferry and how long does it take to cross the lake? On the map, it appears to be about 15 miles across.
VT here, about 15 minutes for most of the ferries around Vt and NY. Some longer, but average hits around 15 minutes. You can go online and find out the schedules. http://www.ferries.com/ (they have a damned good URL)
Around the Burlington area on I-89, between Richmond and Burlington, they are doing construction-- or are planning to pave the area very soon. I can't be certain what you will be facing because I haven't been on that section of I-89 in about two weeks. So expect delays and plan accordingly (I wouldn't expect really long delays).
Thanks for the update. We took advantage of the Charlotte-Essex ferry. We loved Vermont!!! It's a beautiful state and its residents are VERY friendly and helpful.
Thanks for the information,
Ahh I had a brain fart. I posted to you about I-89 and then saw that you had come and gone for the match in another thread about the match. Then forgot to come clean away my post here.
I am glad you enjoyed VT!
