how do you prepare them now?

I myself have never fixed some up but I just got back from having thanksgiving with some family in alabama, one of my uncles took down a deer the weekend before, so for breakfast before going out hunting again we cut up the loin into medalions dusted them in flour fried them up and stuck it in between some catheads(biscuits).

Fisrt time having deer, but i must say it was pretty tastey.

Montreal Steak seasoning or marinade in Dales, then quick grill, or stir fry. Maybe add mushroom steak sauce.

I would like to add, breaded and fried sounds good too. I do sirloin tip that way. Salt pepper added to flour, milk wash and deep fry. Served with rice.

take the tenderloin and butterfly it and fill with pork sausage and jalapenos...wrap with thick cut bacon and tie with butchers string. grill on low heat until the inside temp is 170 degrees
