VEHICLE FIRE? WATCH THIS BUS FIRE:

Below is a video link that every Firefighter really needs to see...it is a fire in a CNG - powered bus, which was occupied and in service at the time. The driver and passengers discovered the fire and bailed. Good decision. This happened a few weeks ago in Wassenaar, the Netherlands. The CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) buses have their tanks on the roof.

Ahhhh,, for the good old days when you could be electrocuted in the bus/trolley.

(Very rare).---(Not meant as the "cooking term" of the person, but the frequency of occurrence)

Thermal link melted out or safety valve lifted, relieving pressure. Otherwise it would have been a more impressive video - BLEVE.

An Earl Schieb Shop should be able to take care of that.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtjdHaMeiiQ"]Here is one of his commercials from 1986[/ame].

    The road looks power washed.
The truck and crane look new.
The firefighters turnouts don't have a spec of dirt.

There is a path from the Low Countries to Switzerland, where dirt must not exist. Just not right.

Looks like it went as designed. It didnt explode, it failed at a point so the gas was let out as a jet. The fire before the tanks went was from the plastics it looks like.

I guess the vents are on the ends of the cylinders for a reason, but it sure looks like having them pointed UP would be a lot safer.

Yep. We give them a hard time sometimes, but our European brothers sure do live nicely in many ways.

The Netherlands are just kinda like that, almost everywhere. Everything is new and shiny.

Even the street people in Amsterdam are clean.
