I am looking into taking a vacation here in TX with my small children(3 and 6). I want to go somewhere different than Fiesta TExas, Sea World or GreatWolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX. What do YALL recommend?

my suggestion would be the schlitterbahn in new braunsfels. it's a waterpark, but it's all fed from the comal river so the chlorine and chemical treatment isn't quite as harsh as other waterparks. the scenery is also some of the best in the world.

there's an entire area devoted to younger kids and such but at the same time there's rides for the grown ups, and then there's stuff like the wave pool and the lazy river where the whole family can play.

The beach. Padre Island, Galveston, Rockport, etc.

If you want to come to Houston, we've got the Children's Museum, NASA, the Museum of Natural Science and a lot of other great, kid-friendly attractions they'd also love.

if he loves his children he will avoid galveston at all costs.

between the nasty water, the shi*** beaches, and all the thugs it isn't someplace i'd take kids.

Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch in San Antonio. Has a lazy river that circles the property. It's a relaxing place for the entire family.

Drive on flat highways...nothing west except big bend. I second schlitterbaun in new beaunfels. And stay in the park. You get Early access and its easier to bring your own food.
