I want to purchase two flash drives, one for my wife and one for me. They will both be used for simple small-size data file storage and transfers -- no music, videos, etc.

Just to get us started, I'm thinking something around 256MB (each) would be enough.

I need them by today or tomorrow at the latest, so Ebay is out. Anyone know of any good sales right now and what a good price would be? Any brands to stay away from?

About a week ago I just bought a 512 megger from Office Max for $18.95.
I don't know how long the special was on. The brand name was TechSolutions (a PNY Attache). Might want to check if the special is still going on. This was + tax with no rebate.

I just returned from Staples where I took the recommendation from a couple of the sales people and bought two 128MB Memorex flash drives for $11.90 each. That amount of storage may seem tiny by today's standards, however for my immediate needs, I think it'll be okay.

    Thanks for the feedback. :)
