where is the best state to shoot and own guns?
I was thinking uspsa/ipsc shooting.
my guess is Texas, Florida, Arizona, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee. Plus the rest of the midsouth and midwest states. Mahigpit sa Kali and most of the east coast states.
Yup! You're right! It's also hard to own firearms in Massachussetts and other New England States. My brother told me that you can purchase a pistol in Tennessee, wait for the paperwork and bring home the gun (even a pistol)after an hour.
Not in California.
I guess it's every where, I would add Worldsteel, Knockdown, Steel, Bullseye, NRA Rifle , CMP, Indoor IPSC, Shotgun and the best is the 3Gun USPSA. Kung papatulan ko yung kalahati niyan, hahambalusin na ako ni misis. In short There's really a lot of shooters in this place, please note that every class of this sport is popular. One more thing,.. shooting here is not that expensive, apple to apple comparison. Even the club membership fee, I would say that mas mahal pa sa atin. Try this sa atin 8,000 pesos ang membership fee at 200 pesos ang monthly. I got to pay $150 for membership and $15 monthly fee. Sa atin mostly pistol range lang, dito may pistol, rifle, shotgun at outdoor and indoor range kana dun sa $15 mo. Yung range completo sa gamit kung wala kang dalang earmuffs meron sila disposable plugs, eye protection, may targets. I just can't beleive how can these clubs have those things just for the safety of the shooters. Yung bala dito mas murang mura, I would say any states will do. just shoot and enjoy...
In the state of Kalifornia, IPSC is as popular as ever considering the bans in hicaps and certain firearms. An IPSC match is shot every Saturday and Sunday somewhere sometime in this state.
Although in TX, there were 3 pistol/rifle ranges 5 mile radius of my house.
Mura nga sa states especially pag may sale
Kaya puro dryfire lan ginagawa ko dito
BUT, we have an advantage din! We have range caddies!!
Wala kayo nyan sa states
do they still have a ban on high caps there up to now? i thought tapos na ang ban.
I ask since if ever our country collapses i may go to the usa for awhile and beat tgo;Q
On the federal level, the law was not renewed. Some states have their own Assault Weapons Ban & hi-cap ban.;g
TGO = the great one AKA Rob Leatham.
easy easy! si pible muna;z ;c
i dont think they need range caddies over there, cos they dont pick up their shells/brass/basyo;f
Caddies = sila sila mismo nagti-tape and set ng steel. As for brass, it's so cheap most no longer pick it up.
Big matches which are held for two days straight have "Brass Caddies". These are grade school kids or a Boy Scout Troop raising money for a common purpose. They would pick up the brass, sort them out and sell them back to the shooters for very little cost. Remember that the shooters use unfired brass in big matches therefore the buyer gets once fired brass. IIRC, during my last match I got me 500 once fired 40's for $10.00.
I still pick up my casings and other shooters casing. Yung iba magulang sa pag-tape, dinadaan sa kwento.
If I may add, these brass are usually premium brands like Starline.
Nevada is also a gun-friendly state. I bought couple of .45's in Las Vegas and once the sale transaction is done, you can bring home your gun right away. They even throw in free range time. That is, if you already have an existing gun registration card (they call it blue card) Of course they still do background check; they make a call infront of you and if your records are fine, then that's it, 30-45 minutes at the most. Same thing with a rifle. Actually, they dont even issue a blue card for rifles.
Anybody considering moving to Vegas? Housing is booming too.
Huwag ka lang maloloko sa casino at mga strip joint.
well...i really like watching cultural & folk dance shows.;e
we dont have it back here in the desert, di ba VICARA? ;f
I'm considering that, mura pa ng mga bahay.
Ditto on the Southern States.
Not necessarily trure. I f you are shooting .38 super, you will pick up the brass since brass is about $ 90 per thousand.
