So we extend Constitutional protections to the terrorists that attack us, but we don't care if the Constitutional rights of these brave men were violated? WTF is this country coming to? Obama, Biden and Holder are two of the most inept leaders (for lack of a better term) this country has ever seen. From a shear legal standpoint, the case should be dropped......but this has turned into politics because that is what led to the case being brought forward to begin with. Those three morons mentioned above have never served a single day in the military between them, never mind in a combat zone.....Maybe their views would be different if they had. This kind of nonsense just makes me sick!!!
Don't you remember Obama openly stating that he viewed the Constitution as a "document of negative liberties" and that he would seek to "fundamentally transform" the way we "do government"? Did people think he was kidding? This should come as no shock at all.
There were state department people in the convoy, we don't trust them as witnesses. They say the convoy was attacked. Iraqis say they fired without provocation. The Iraqis are full of $#@!.
Normally, I'd be all over the Obama Administration. However... http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/17/world/middleeast/17blackwater.html The other guards in the convoy---same training, same mission, working relationship with the accused, stuck in the same circumstances---call it a bad shoot. The pros who were first on the scene saw no evidence of an attack on the convoy. It may be a tragic mistake. It may be a thwarted attack. It is in no way a slam-dunk example of Obama abuse. It's something to be worked out in court.
I don't know what happened, and that gunfight indeed does look ugly...but I also recall reading that some of these OTHER guards were leaned on, and that one of two of the guards involved were also leaned on in a heavy way to sing in such a way to implicate themselves and their team members. It's all tainted flesh to me... 'Drew
