Was going to mention the 2022 but got beat to it. Arguably the most under rated polymer pistol on the market. Doesn't keep me from liking my P series Sigs, just because I like them. But I'm not carrying in duty gear any more so I get what I like.:dancing::dancing:

That would be a nice gun if it were SA only and could be carried cocked and locked.

Yep, and I’ve carried a .45 (in various platforms) most of my adult life. Used to argue about it being the superior round.
I started seeing the duty calibers for what they were and now don’t even own a .45.

One thing I don't think anyone mentioned in terms of cost. Yes, 9mm is cheaper. But USSS shoots a lot, and .357 Sig, like .40, batters the guns themselves quite a bit. Fewer replacement parts, fewer replacement guns, less $.

I wonder if they will go with a +P+. If I remember correctly, that is what they ran with up until 1999 when the 229 took over for the 228. I remember when they were excited when the 239 was going to be approved for backup vs the 230.

I agree, it would be a nice pistol, but I actually prefer "crunchentickers" over SA for my carry pistols.
