    Hello gents,

About 6 or 7 years ago I picked up a early Gen 3 Glock 19. Has one "pin" not 2 and the old style extractor. Based on the serial number it was manufactured in 1995. Appeared to be unfired when I bought it –– no wear anywhere and the copper-colored lube was still inside the slide, and came with box and papers.

I've shot it quite a bit –– well over 12,000 rounds so far –– and due to the size and weight it has been my EDC for the past 2 years or so.

So . . . the question is: does this gem need to be "upgraded" ? ? I read the other day that some of the early Gen 3 guns need to have some of the parts replaced/upgraded by Glock.

Is there anything I need to do ? ? Only thing I've done with it is add night sights, replace the recoil spring last year and run a bunch of ammo thru it and kept it clean. Been 100% reliable in every way.

    So . . . what say you ? ?

    Thanks ! !

If you have 12K rds through it I recommend you at least replace (all) the springs.
Sign up for a GSSF shoot and the factory Armorer that attends will go through it on request.
