Looks like the last thread I made devolved into mindless bickering.

Anyways! As some of you may remember, I finally got my first 1911, only to have it come with an abnormal dust cover.

I ended up talking to GalleryofGuns, and took it back to the place where I picked it up, and they said they'd contact them, and see what they could do about it. I ended up getting a call from them saying that they would replace it "no questions asked" and are sending out a brand new replacement today!

The replacement should be here tomorrow, or the next day.

Dude, you wouldn't have that problem if you had gotten a Glock. Heavy, bulky, 100 year old metal technology is outdated. :whistling:

It would've taken quite a bit of water to melt my 1911's dustcover back to normal. :whistling:

"The replacement should be here tomorrow, or the next day. "

The play ain't over until the fat lady sings.
    Will the new gun function?
Will it shoot to point of aim?

Buy a cheap, offshore, cast 1911.......
    and let the games begin.

    Sorry.

From all I've seen, Armscor makes a good product. I just happened to get unlucky. There's the occasional slip up with even the bigger name brands out there.

Pick the replacement up today. The frame is perfect, and the safety actually feels a bit more snappy than the last one.

I am extremely satisfied with the service I got from GalleryofGuns. Looks like I got a new favorite place to get guns from!

Nice, glad they worked it out. Make sure you register it on their website so you get the lifetime replacement benefit from them. It comes with all purchases through them. I've bought there a few times.

Did that with the first one, and did that right away with the replacement. Thanks!
