A 5th grade football team has been denied a chance to show off their skills after having an excellent season. The Sedalia Junior Outlaws were banned from the playoff games because they're too good and now the team's coach is speaking out.

The kids earned a spot in the playoffs after dominating their league. After being told they weren't allowed to play, the kids are heartbroken and coaches are confused. The team made a splash by going 6-0 in the regular season in the West Central Youth Football League............

I would like to know if the students on the winning team are all age appropriate for the 5th grade. Or if some of them have been held back a year.

I was involved with a football league a few years ago.

There was an ongoing problem with older kids playing in on younger team.

The championship team both seasons was full of high school freshman, the age cut-off was 8th grade. (They only got caught because they were seen on high school campuses by parents of other teams. One phone call to the school opened up a whole can of worms)

I was the photographer, and the champs looked much older and averaged 50lbs heavier....

Some of those 12yr olds QBs could throw 40yards all day...........

These local leagues are so corrupt I don't want my kid any where near them.

Let me guess, Progressives HATE excellence!

Wonder if they had 6 or 7th graders playing on their team.

Certainly this forum must have members from Sedalia, California

This decision was actually part of the "stimulus" bill, which established federal czars for each elementary and middle school sport.

If you disagree, you jus' a raciss!

They should have lost two games and changed their nickname to the Crimson Tide. They would have been in for sure.

I remember a couple of opponents on our eight grade basketball schedule who looked like they could have full beards and arms as big as our legs. We insisted they were high school ringers, but we were just sore losers.
