Gotta be honest, I would not AIWB carry any striker-fired firearm, regardless of make, without a manual safety. If for some reason I absolutely had to, I'd never insert the firearm into the holster while I'm wearing the holster. I'd remove the holster, inspect visually the inside of the holster, insert the firearm and then put the holster back in place.

I know. Some media outlets reported 9mm.

Hammer-fired DA/SA would have prevented this.

    Well, you're probably right ;)

And it would be safer for AIWB.

Been to the range hundreds of times with 65 lanes. Never heard of a spontaneous discharge of weapon while holstered. Anybody here seen a spontaneous discharge. You know, the spontaneous discharge, “I had the gun on the table and I went in the other room, the gun went off and my wife was dead” spontaneous discharge.

Well, let's think about this. This incident happened 3 months ago.
The department hasn't charged the deputy with anything that I am aware of.
The department hasn't sent out a warning about the duty holster being defective and thereby a danger to officers across the country. So, where does that leave us? :dunno:

Yes I have seen a 1911A1 colt pistol fire while inside a nylon holster when bumped into a stove it was a pre series 80. I watched it happen with my own eyes.

    Update:

Officer has been fired. He’s on camera drawing and reholstering his firearm.

“According to Nocco, the deputy can be seen on video lifting the weapon in and out of its holster. Nocco says while its still unknown what exactly caused the weapon to go off, he said the deputy's "actions are what caused it."

"Ultimately it comes down to, if you leave the gun in the holster it's not going to go off," Nocco said. "Only one thing caused that gun to go off — it was him," he later added.”

Seems Sig was spot on with not taking the blame for what the deputy did, because the gun did exactly what it was suppose to do when the trigger was pulled. It also appears the deputy in question was not worthy of the reputation you claim he had-video proved him to be a liar.

Good thing Sig stood behind their product and didn't back down in this incident.

Y'all gonna believe actual video over some anecdote? What's wrong with you.

Sig probably "deep faked" the video.

How do you get a habit of removing your gun from the holster over and over. I carry guns.. i leave them loaded and secure in the holster. It never occurs to me to play with a gun in public or private that is ready to go.
