Randy Couture proved what can be done with focus and determination...not to mention skills! There was no doubt in my mind Couture was a better athlete and more skilled fighter before the match, I just didn't think he could overcome the physical difference (especially after the Monson fight).

Kudos to a veteran who has respect for his country, his profession, and himself.

    A great card, all around.

The Natural was something to see.

My chin almost broke on the floor when Couture hit Sylvia with that first punch. I held my breath for all of round 3 when Randy was keeping it on his feet...I was thinking, c'mon Randy just ride it out like Sylvia does in Round 5. That is what makes Randy a champion, and me a schlub who thinks he knows something about ring combat.

BTW, Franklin also looked pretty good...I would like to see him go against a strong grappler before he gets back in the ring with Silva. I think both of them showed a lot of class after the bout, I hope athletes in other sports can learn from some of the MMA guys.
