That's like Clint Smith or Jeff Cooper (RIP) endorsing a new line of Hi-Point pistols.

I don't see this as being all that different from Emeril Legasse having a line of spices and cookware, Alton Brown endorsing knives or <gag> Rachel Ray having a whole line of everything.

Once people achieve a level of celebrity the next big way to make money is to start selling the brand.

Hey, at least Tyler Florance hasn't made a living glorifying a 3rd grade command of spoken English like Emeril. "Ya throw it in there like dat, swish it around like such, tro in 40 cloves of gaaahhhlick [pause while crowd LOSES it for 90 seconds] and BAM!"

    Tyler's still ok! ;)

Meh, I'm really not upset about it at all.

It just surprised me more than anything.

I agree with you about celebrities 'selling the brand.'

However, I'd think hardware & utensils with one's name on them are more easily quality controlled than the same branded fare from the vast array Applebee's across the country.

Anyrate, I still like Tyler too.

    ;)
