ok, i'm stumped, whats wrong with them?
Wonder how a chemical breakdown of something in the pallets used to move these products could affect the contents inside sealed bottles?
Because everything has a vapor or moisture transmission rate. For example glass has an MVTR rate. Plastic too - some plastics are flourine treated to help keep chemicals out.
Take some chocolate, put it in a plastic bag and then put both inside a plastic snap-lid container and then leave some peppermint candy on top of the lid, come back in a two weeks and the chocolate will taste like peppermint chocolate candy. Some chemicals pass through some substrates quite easily.
