The only TV shows my dad liked to watch were the Honeymooners with Jackie Gleason, Hee Haw, and The Carol Burnett Show...I watched all three, and still watch the reruns...

My dad was in Korea, I used to love to hear the play by plays of what was correct and what was BS on that show!

Only music shows, Lawrence Welk to Hayloft Hoedown. He worked all the time in his own business, so there wasn’t much time for tv (or anything else).

I don't remember watching much TV with my Dad. We didn't get TV in Florida until I was fifteen years old. Shortly, afterwards I got my drivers license and was out driving more than staying home and watching TV.

As a younger kid, it was all radio; and usually the entire family huddling around to listen to things like Amos and Andy, Fibber McGee and Molly, The Great Gildersleeve, etc, etc.

I notice that none of you have mentioned:
The Persuaders (Roger Moore & Tony Curtis)
    McCloud (Dennis Weaver)
    Quincy (Jack Klugman)

Ooh and my personal favorite, although already mentioned, Columbo (Peter Falk).

My dad didn't watch alot of TV but he loved Lawrence Welk. I thought that show was awful. Once he left the room during a commercial and while he was gone I changed the channel. That was a BIG mistake.
