Any of you guys go with the curved screen? I haven't seen any reviews where anyone has regretted curved over flat. But they sure are not as popular. The reason I ask is WalMart has a great deal right now on a 65" 4k curve screen.

My buddy bought one, but he ended up returning it a couple weeks later because of glare issues.

That's a big screen, at least by my standards. How far away you're sitting from the screen and the viewing angle must have some importance to the curved effect. But I have heard that the Bravia is the way to go...that's what I have, about 10 year old 40". Have toyed with getting a bigger, thinner, smart one, but 65" is YUUUUGE! What brand??

with so little on the tv it seems silly to buy a new set just to have the latest and greatest.

Ha-Ha...it ain't the size of the screen, it's the action on the tube!

Here it is. Don't be afraid of the brand name. They are a very large and well known maker with a history in computer monitors.

Wow...for that money I'd give it a whirl. Scanned some reviews and it seems to do pretty good.

By the way....thanks to you I'm surfing Best Buy for a new unit. I remmeber when y 18" Trinitron was the cat's pajamas and the bee's knees all in one package. Back then you could still opt for a black and white tube.

I agree. Finally bought a flat one several years ago. It's about 31" wide. My wife prefers to watch everything on her computer, so I'm usually the only one using it and I usually watch 1 show a day. Have no need for bigger or newer.

30 days to return it with no questions asked, right? I'd keep the box and packing materials and give it a try for a couple of weeks, if I actually wanted a TV that big (I don't).

WalMart like Amazon is pretty much a no questions asked return policy.

I read an article a while back that stated it was basically marketing mumbo jumbo. I think they are right.

Curved only works if you watch alone (sitting centered) and with zero light sources in the room. Otherwise it will always catch the reflection from at least one window or light. Super annoying.

If you’re looking for a nice tv with current technology at a lower price I recommend the TCL line of 4K HDR TVs.

Pretty universally considered the TV of the year under $1000 early this year. Their 55” version is 450$ at bestbuy.

Turns out I am frequently alone in a dark room. And now with curved screen porn! :dancingbanana::dancing:
