I live within an hour's drive of Glock, Smyrna and I plan to take my recently acquired Model 17 to them for any adjustments, replacements or upgrades (gun was mfg. 12/94). Does anyone know how long I can expect to be "Glock-less"? Can they do the work while I wait? Can they ship back to me instead of an FFL if they don't require the whole gun?
    Thanks,

You should be able to wait on it. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes.

They will ship directly back to you whether it's the whole gun or not - you can also ship directly to them. My wife got a frame replacement on her 17 (one of the defective frames) and I believe it took more than a month, but I'm not certain.
