Unfortunately, they know we can't fire a single shot, because that would be us involving ourselves in endless Middle Eastern conflicts. Any actual military contact with Turkey would immediately prove Trump wrong in his assertion that we don't need to, and shouldn't, be there. That's the corner he painted us into. Turkey is conducting itself as if it's in the position of strength. The U.S. is talking withdrawal and adherence to Turkey's conditions. This is all in plain sight.

No. He hit them in the pocket book, or threatened to. It seems when the purse stings in the US start to close, many are paying heed these days.
I realize it can be hard to keep up, but try.

Why the promise of YPG withdrawal then? It's not much of a threat if you also have to surrender to them the entire goal of their incursion, which was to clear YPG from the entire Turkish border zone.

    Yep.

If neocons like Lindsey Graham, Mitt Romney, and Dan Crenshaw are upset, you just KNOW it must be good for America.

My point was simply I don’t give a **** if Trump decides to bomb Turkey, though he won’t unless they try to take our nukes. If they try, I’m good with turning the whole dam place to glass.

Erdogan is no friend to the west or the US in general.

    Not at all.
It's just what your propaganda media is trying desperately to make it look like, and of course you fell for it, as they knew you would.

Some of you may not know this, and I just read about it last night. There are some former .gov figures, media tycoons, and slimeballs that sit on the board of an oil company operating in Syria. Genie Oil and Gas which owns the rights to about 153 square miles of land that has a huge reserve of oil under it. I am sure some of you will recognize them.

    Rupert Murdoch
    Dick Cheney
    Jacob Rothschild
    James Woolsey
    Larry Summers

This surely has nothing to do with all the histrionics and hand wringing over leaving Syria does it???

Risky venture capitalism for sure. Syria has traditionally been in the sphere of Russian influence. But I think you are right on the money about why some folks are freaked out about leaving Syria.
