Anyone have one? I've always had gold and platinum rings, but getting tired of them looking horrible after just a couple months of refinishing. So, are the TC rings as scratch and dent resistent as advertised? Is there a recommended method of manufacturing to look for when purchasing? I've read that cobalt is no-good as a binder and to look for TC that is bonded with nickel. Is this right? I'm looking at a couple of laser engraved rings to use everyday and keep the gold and platinum bands for more formal occasions. If you have one, let me know what ya think!

My wife and I both have tungsten carbide wedding bands. I can't get it to scratch, even after one night at the gym I got curious and rubbed it hard as I could on the knurling on an olympic barbell. It's a simple design that I like quite a bit.

Eyescream, I have the same ring, but seldom wear it.

Gold and diamonds rock the hand most of the time. :)

I've had mine for almost 1 1/2 years and it still looks brand new. Mine is similar to the post above but with a black ceramic band in the center.

I prefer to light cigars with money to wearing it.

I have had mine for like 2 months and mine is scratched a little. Nothing to bad. I have talked to the people at the store and since the ring is NOT suppose to scratch they said they would get me a new one. So I'm not worried about mine at all.

In all seriousness, I have 5 wedding bands.

The first was platinum & 18k, but it scratched too badly.

    I then got a "cheap" 14k band.

Then, I got a Sterling band.

Then, I got the tungsten one.

Now...I have a yellow & white gold band w/ channel-set diamonds in it.

I rotate every once in a while; depends on the watch or the mood. However, for the last 2 years or so, my latest band has seen the most finger-time. :)

Foppery and balderdash. This is the only ring I've ever worn, and I'm still not sure I like wearing a ring at all. I take it off when I lift weights because it pinches the **** out of my finger.

The plugs in my earlobes are wood, and the rest of my body jewelry is stainless steel. Meh.

    I have this:

I lost a platinum and gold ring in Dec. of last year. When we didn't find it by January I ordered the tungsten carbide. I like it and have gotten several compliments on it. I've only had it couple of months but it cleans up like new. Make sure it's tungsten carbide made with a nickel binder and not cobalt. Make sure it's tungsten carbide too and not just tungsten steel. I thought I as getting something pretty new and found out almost all of my wife's nephews, 5 of them, bought tungsten carbide rings as well.

Here is a picture of mine with scratches on it. I have some more on this ring but they didn't show up to well in the pictures. If you look close the whole outside edge of ring all the way around is scratched. I still get compliments on the ring, I just don't like the scratches.

How did you scratch it? Only diamonds and corundum are supposed to be able to scratch them. Where did you get it?

My wife got it some place called Rasmussens. Some nice ring place here in town. I work for a Home improvement company. So it get dragged across things, smashed on things, concrete, drills, etc. This ring has been through hell since I have had it. I still like it tho. A lot stronger then most.

    Depends on where I am.
My wedding band wore out after 37 years so my wife got me a tungsten carbide replacement about a year ago. As a lefty, before shooting, I have to switch it over to my right ring finger.
