Have had the gun for about a month. Familiar story, no ftf's but was taking casings to the head and one to the face that left a mark.

Then went two range trips with no problems at all.

But today, casings were landing on my head. Then I noticed it was just when I was shooting jhp's.

I've been shooting ammo from freedom munitions. 115gr fmj reloads and 115gr jhp factory new.

The jhp's were landing on my head but shot tighter groups. The first picture is fmj's

I have an offer to try the 30274 ejector so I'll be trying that soon.

I bought some wwb to try and I have some federal value pack. I'll be paying closer attention to what ammo I'm shooting when the casings are landing on me and will make a point of trying a lot of different brands.

Try some Speer Lawman. Federal Champion is pretty weak stuff.

Power factor of ammo DIRECTLY influences this. I am a big fan of speer lawman for practice / gold dot for carry. That is IF you care about brass trajectory.

Personally I would get a hat and call it a day. Has worked for me for 15 years with no permanent injury. Enjoy the 26 they are great little guns.
