This is a joke. They've had six years to come up with a plan and they have nothing. I think all we can hope for is Trump can negotiate something on drug prices but I suspect even that will just be a token gesture by Big Pharma.

Yes, they have had six years to come up with a plan, but do you think any of them really wanted to?
Now Trump has promised to repeal it and those same RINO's will propose any lame plans they can to delay or prevent Trump from delivering on his promise.

It's not that they have no idea how to. They have no desire to.

    It's a huge undertaking. At least it's a start.

Small business owners, who create most of the jobs in this country, are rejoicing over the repeal of the employer mandate.

Meet the new plan, same as the old plan. Rand is right, get the clean repeal passed now while they can since in theory Republicans can agree on that.

They need to get rid of that mandate. The new plan (as I see it) shifts the mandate from the gubmint (IRS) to the insurance companies. I certainly think that health insurance should be able to be purchased across state lines. This would increase competition and lower prices (premiums).

Then, that puts them in good company considering Obama and the Democrats had absolutely no idea how to draw up effective healthcare legislation either.

You don't "FIX" obamacare. It was DOA.

You trash it and come up with a plan that will really work.

The trouble is the liberals and RINOs don't want the Republicans to come up with a workable plan.

I think there's got to be a lot more "Draining the Swamp" before something like a good medical plan will be possible.

I just hope the Republicans don't put a piece of crap in place just because people want it right away.

Trumps been in about 40 days and all you hear is a bunch of the Right crying like the Left Snowflakes.

I almost wish Hillary had got in, to give these people something to cry about.

Shut TFU and let Trump do his job.

    Healthcare and competition= oxymoron
Look around the medical groups are bigger and bigger.
How does one give all care to everyone (demand), subsidize those who cannot pay, no rationing of services (supply) and save money...too many special interests to satisfy..ultimately it will be single payer ( as my father said when medicare was passed in 1965--the beginning of socialized medicine in the USA).. care will be rationed, fees will be slightly higher than medicaid..people will get what they deserve just don't get sick

But, but, but they were going to "replace it with something wonderful."

    Allow competition across state lines!

Let Medicare negotiate drug costs the same way Medicaid does.

Those would help. Competition is supposed to drive prices down, but profit motive and shareholder pressure counter it.

Eventually, put some people with brass ****s in office with the support to say if other countries can do it, so can we.

The problem with that statement is that Obamacare was actually a spin off of Mit Romneys plan ( a Republican). Then the Republican majority congress, contracted out the website design to Canada because it was cheaper. A country where they have free health care for all their citizens...which makes no sense because a country that gets free health care would have no idea how to design a website to function the way our country would need it to. So it would seem it was the Republicans that didn't know how to draw up an effective Healthcare legislation.

What is proposed right now is no different from O'care. They renamed the "subsidy" to "tax break". It's welfare, a handout. They will even be sending money directly to some people. Yeah, no chance for fraud and abuse there lol!! Rand and the others are right................. Obamacare Light. Disappointed. Hopefully they can slice and dice this thing to where it will not pass. Of course, if they completely repeal it, their reign is over. But that's what it's gonna take. Quite the conundrum indeed.

This is one of those programs that once implemented it's going to be very difficult to end it, and the libs KNEW this when they passed it into law. Lots of people are now dependent on this.

If you think you can just kill it and all will be well tell that to people getting social security checks. If it's just a government hand-out program you ought to be able to do the same with Social Security, right? Just drop the axe and it's done.

    All the Best,
