'01 Silverado 2500 hd with 285K. Now I wish I'd swapped in a diesel when the 6.0 went tits up around 250K ish but it runs pretty well. People generally get out of the way when I'm entering or exiting the freeway! Way paid for.

I actually don’t like driving trucks unless I must, yet I have three:

—gmt800 Tahoe 4x4–beater with some smart features, cheap parts, solid rig
—2nd gen Tundra 4x4–love this truck, probably last as I don’t want a reliable copy of a Ford
—Dodge dually 4x4 with a stick—last of the truly emissions free diesels

Barring calamity, don't see myself buying another truck before I croak.
