i've seen pics of this a few years ago and today i found one of my very own.
it's in good shape, but for some reason they changed some parts out to stainless parts. doesn't matter to me because i was going to send it to the SACS to get flat black AK.

FWIW, the TRP CHampion was made from 1999-2001
I guess this find makes up for me getting rid of my Compact a few years ago.

at least i didn't see the RRA before i bought this. If the RRA Carry didn't have FCS, then i might have bought it, but at least this keeps me on track to buy the Custom Carry.

yep, and might even get it bobbed
i'll re-barrel it with a Wilson barrel (bushing) instead of the bull barrel. the Wilson barrel is on sale for $99 ;)

I did sell my Trophy Match today, which i made money on.
This is all in effort to go to semi-custom guns or SACS worked guns.
The TRP Champion will get worked over to be similar to my TRP, just an inch shorter and no magwell :animlol:

So where does that leave the EMP and R1?

the EMP might get shipped to the SACS at the same time for some checkering and refinish, though that is still up in the air if i want to do that or sell it still :dunno:

I brought it to the show to show bobby what he was missing :animlol:
    There was 1 EMP9 at the show...for $1179

the R1 is my "project" gun...if i ever get around to it

    Thanks!!!
looking at the parts, i'm starting to think that the original owner swapped them for Wilson parts.

Wilson has a barrel for this on clearance, so i might pick that up since it's a bushing barrel instead of a bull barrel.

Congrats, looks great! I just looked on gunbroker and saw one recently go for $910. That one had Brazil stamped on the side. Are all the TRP Champions made in Brazil?

a TRP Champion? looking at the archives, the TRP Champion retailed for $1175 (back in 1999) and the regular TRP's were $1160. there was a post by Deb (from the SACS) in ~2003 and she said that they could do one for ~$1500 (back then), so
