Well 130 miles ESE of Daytona is TD 5. Is this going to turn Statesville into a swim meet? ;f Or maybe a duplicate of the Jackson match of 2001? ;f If we get rained out I sure wouldn't want to be in the panhandle of Florida, ole Don at PC might BLEVE! ;f

note for non fire types: BLEVE = boiling liquid expanding vapor explosion. i.e. big fireball!

Thre current forecast is for mostly cloudy and 10% chance of rain on Saturday and isolated thunderstorms and a 30% chance of rain on Sunday. Sounds like Saturday will be a red dot day. :)

Usually if rain is in the offing they will set up canopies. Rain=canopies are good, no rain=canopies are bad. On a sunny day I'd rather have the sun on my sights on the stock gun, the canopies cast shadows that don't help. Time will tell. ND is a rather rough character that occationally shows up.

Is it allowed for your fellow shooters to hold a umbrella over your head while you're shooting? I didn't find that forbidden in the GSSF rules.

I don't know Jerry enough... can anyone tell me if he's joking about TD 5 or not?

Fireglock will joke about anything and everything except the weather and his evil twin "N.D." Fireglock is pretty easy going, but when upset, will remove his hat and flash you with his scalp. Quite effective on a sunny day.;e

    Fireglock,

I'm having frequent encounters with 'halo effect' on my C-More... what Coach described when you take off your hat... will it combat the 'halo effect' by reversing the energy from the sun back towards my C-More?;e

    Respectfully and honestly joking around,
    Frank

So what you're saying is that it will be a good DOT day! No halo-effect anticipated and 10% chance of precip is about as good as we can hope for... but then again, who really counts on weather forecasts???
