Considering tweaking the trigger on my Gen4 G26 but I'm not sure what effects to look for from various aftermarket parts.

The NY1 & NY2 trigger springs cause heavier trigger pull?
The minus connector gives you a lighter but less crisp trigger?
A heavier firing-pin safety spring makes for a lighter trigger?
What if I just want to remove some of the pre-travel?

:dunno:

I'm sure this stuff has been written up somewhere, Is there an FAQ I'm missing?

had a ny1 spring, and it got sloppy after one box of ammo, would not fire at all after that, the minus is the 4.5 i believe, the heavier firing pin spring is for harder priners, and the overtravel is what gets ya, u want that pretravel for last minute mind changes if u ever have to pull it

in my duty 17 i have the ghost tactical 5lb trigger connector, wolf 6lb trigger spring and 6lb firing pin spring, great feel,

in my 27 i have the glock 8lb (+) connector, thats it

The NY1 & NY2 trigger springs cause heavier trigger pull? Yes, heavier
The minus connector gives you a lighter but less crisp trigger? Exactly, plus longer reset
A heavier firing-pin safety spring makes for a lighter trigger? No, that would make the pre-travel heavier. A heavier TRIGGER spring makes the pull lighter
What if I just want to remove some of the pre-travel? To remove pre-travel, you need a trigger like the Vanek that has pre-travel adjustment, or you need a modified trigger housing with a pre-travel set screw. Messing with pre-travel can deactivate the safeties. I HIGHLY recommend you do not mess with pre-travel. Just shoot from reset.

Take your gun to someone who knows Glocks and let them install the correct parts and go home with a gun you know is safe.

21 Carrier, I've found that the minus connector provides a shorter, faster reset, due to the angle of the connector. My preference when using the minus connector is to use it in conjunction with a NY1 spring, which provides a constant triggerpull and a much more discernable reset point, as to cost of slightly increased triggerpull weight (which I estimate to be around 6-6.5 lbs).

Best, Jon
