Tree Stands

    Working on building a deer stand. Heres what we got so far.

    Two trees and Two phone poles. They make a square now that they are in the ground.

    ^^Kind of a diagram of how they look.

    Were gonna make the floor 20ft up. What the best/safest way to get up there and add the floor so then we can build a latter to gain access to the floor of the stand? Any kind of mechanical lift will not be possible as this is a pretty dense forest area.

    We got ideas but looking for other peoples opinions before we start the floor so maybe we can have some better ideas.

    When I've done tree stands like that we always made the ladder out of rungs nailed to the tree. Start at the bottom and work your way up. Stand on the lower rungs to install the upper ones.

    Since you are putting in 2 posts you assemble the floor to the 2 upright posts, then lift it into position. Have one person standing on the ladder rungs to attach the stand to the tree as a couple others raise it up.

    Thanks I think that will work better than what we were thinking of trying.
