Is it possible for me to take off my 1 year old night sights on my G19 and put them on my G23? Has anyone taken night sights off an old pistol too be put on a new carry pistol?

Certainly it's possible. The sights on your 19 are the same spec as the 23. The front sight is easy, the rear requires more effort. Most on this forum subscribe to the sight pusher method for rear sight removal/installation. I personally use a delrin punch and a hammer to switch sights. Either way it's not a big deal to make the change.

If your front sight is staked on vs. screwed on, it will be more difficult.

Otherwise, not a problem whatsoever.

If you use a plastick punch and hamer on rear sight be carful you dont break the tridium like my friend did. I recomend the proper tool

Great my front sight is screwed on, so it wont be a problem. As far as the rear sight even though it was on my old pistol for quite some time, i was told that if i were to put it on another pistol it would be loose and in danger of falling off, i guess its just a myth then.

Perhaps they were thinking Glock plastic sights which would be far more likely to be loose if re-installed.
