Hey gang... might not be the right forum but I think you guys can help. I sighted in my new 50 cal muzzleloader yesterday.....it is dead nuts x at 40 yards. But I dont know what it will be at 100 yards???? Shooting 300 grain Thompson Center Shockwave at 1962fps....

Is the bullet still rising at 40 yards?
Does this bullet shoot straight as an arrow from muzzle to 100 yards?
Will I be dead bull at 100 yards or inches high or inches low?
What about 150 yards?

Brand new CVA Apex.
I saw a monster buck yesterday bowhunting that kept me awake last night....muzzleloading hunting in 12 days.

Thanks gang.

Irons or Scope?

Assuming scope and assuming the scope is centered approx 1.5" above the CL bore, You're going to get roughly the following trajectory:

100 - 1-2" low.
150 - 5-7" low.

Calculated using multiple types of projectiles between .45 and 50 cal in the 300gr weight category @ 1962 FPS from bore and 40yrd zero.
