Anyone have train horns on there trucks? I just got them put on my truck Love em!
A lot of jackholes in Florida put them on. Hopefully you get well deserved tickets for violating noise ordinances any time you use the damn thing.
Do you have any tapes of them? I have heard some pretty loud "horns" on youtube..pretty cool really. But if you go around like some of the assclowns on youtube and scare people for fun I think you will get yourself into serious trouble.
I had an Ah-OO-gah horn..
Ya got a rebel flag flyin on it too? And some big ol fat Micky T's?
No.. but I painted a Union Jack on the roof of my Mini Cooper..
The horn was in a VW Bug.. back in the 60's..
Somehow I just knew the OP was from FL before opening the thread.
Guy at one of my former employers had one on his caddy. It was an old hearse he fixed up.I got caught in front of him once at a stop sign and that horn nearly made me crap my pants.I associated the sound with a train and had a brain shutdown.
I thought it was the worst thing anyone could have, let alone on a hearse. He was an idiot.
What timing. I was on the way home this evening from a day long road trip, and was taking some back roads to avoid the toll roads. Going through an intersection (the light was very much green for me), I heard a train horn and it was so loud it made me jump. There were no train tracks in the area.
People who do this, and honk it at people for the hell of it to scare them, tickets are too good for them. I hope they meet a real train or honk at the wrong person and get shot at.
One of the guys that I work with just had them installed on his truck. They are loud, that's for sure. Not my thing but to each their own.
One of these fools is going to cause a senior to stroke out or cardiac arrest behind the wheel and multiple deaths may result.
i do Wolf, but i put them on my 04 Nissan Altima. HB4's with a 2.5 gallon tank, Viair 380c @200psi. UNGODLY LOUD!!!!!
Let's guess: you also have a plastic bumper scrotum and a urinating Calvin decal. HH
I have them on my truck.
For all the canadians that take their time walking in the road. For the idiot that cuts me off. For the moron about to step off the sidewalk while I am doing 45. For the wife who better come help me unload my guns.

I always enjoy when the OP doesn't really have the cajones to come back to his own thread. Kinda makes the whole thread really pointless, then...
Lot of bitter people on here lately.
When I get my truck, I'm putting one in. I do not plan to use it like an idiot to get on youtube. I'll use on the idiot that decides to scooch in between me and the car 5 feet in front of me. Or the moron that waits until I'm 20 feet away from him to try to turn into traffic in a 45 zone. These idiots, I want them to lose bowel control.
lately? I think you mean always. Once upon a time, an old fart was in a hurry. I let him cut me off once and then he got stuck in traffic again. Tried to cut me off for a second time. Didn't go so well for him. I pulled up to where is open window was directly in the path of my horns. flipped on the compressor to get his attention. As soon as the relay cut out, I let him have a good 10 seconds of freight train coming at his ***.
I just look at this like all other things such as audio systems, lift kits, 20" rims. Just cause I may not like it don't mean someone else shouldn't. I like it how people will cry about regulation with firearms but in another thread scream about regulating everything that gets brought up, from exhaust pipes to dogs.
I don't have train horns b/c I don't want to deal with a compressor, etc plus it's a bit too loud for daily driving. Instead I have the "Big Daddy" combination along with my stock horns from stebelengineeredsounds.com. It's definitely louder than stock, looks OEM in the factory location and not excessive.
