I don't think either can claim they have *no* responsibility.

Do you have any information that the rest of us do not have that is causing you to call the driver from Mexicali an illegal? I am sure you are aware that tens of thousands of Mexican citizens/residents legally come to the USA every day.

As for the drunk part, I am a little suspicious, but that may just be bad writing on the part of the reporter. The way the story is written, it appears that the police noticed alcohol on his breath 5 hours after the accident. If he was still smelling 5 hours later, he would have been really smelling at the time of the accident and no one noticed? This may be a ploy to keep him in the country for the time being.

    Call it intuition.

    Prove me wrong.

You're suspicious the way I'm suspicious.

Which one of us is right?

You really don't see the difference in the way the two of you handled information?

You are the one making a claim. Where is your proof to back up your claim?
Actually, no. When I am suspicious, I state that I am suspicious. When you are suspicious, you state your suspicion as fact. So please do not lower me to your level.

Lower you to my level? You mean levitate you to my level? The level that can only be attained through Buddha-like enlightenment.

    My wisdom is unsurpassed.

I am wise beyond this astral plane.

Who wants to take some bets that the drunkard is an illegal from Mexico?

The drunk driver is probably good for felony DUI, maybe vehiclular mansluaghter. They only charged him with a misdemeanor which makes me think the other car was truly driving like a maniac and they figured very few people could have controlled the car under those circumstances. The driver that got away is probably good for vehicular manslaughter due to driving recklessly even if he was sober.

    >> investigators on Monday would check surveillance video at a nearby border crossing to see if the driver went to Mexico.
